Embark

Embark in Venice between 16.30 and 17.30 for an 18.00 departure.

Day 1: Venice, Italy

Join L'Austral in the unique city of Venice this afternoon. There will be time to settle in to your stateroom or suite before the ship departs. Tonight, join the Captain for a welcome cocktail and dinner on board.

Day 2: Sibenik - Split

This morning l'Austral pulls into the lively little city of Sibenik, one of the best protected harbours on the Adriatic. From here you will travel along the Dalmatian coast to the ancient and cosmopolitan city of Split, once an imperial residence and home to the Diocletian's Palace.

Day 3: Korcula

Today’s port of call is the island of Korcula, often considered the most beautiful and interesting of the Dalmatian islands. The town of Korcula itself is a mini fortress, where white stone towers stand out against the red roofs of the surrounding buildings and architectural gems are to be found in narrow, cobbled streets.

Day 4: Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, 'Pearl of the Adriatic', has preserved its rich architectural heritage, and its many palaces, monuments and white stone churches are in perfect harmony. Long considered a rival to Venice, traces of its illustrious past are to be found throughout the city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5: Kotor, Montenegro

At the end of a complex series of bays surrounded by limestone massifs is the charming fortified town of Kotor in Montenegro. Here, impressive city walls contain the palaces and alleyways of a well-preserved medieval centre and the town has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 6: Hvar

Hvar’s mild and sunny climate has earnt the island the epithet “Croatia’s Madeira”. The old town is cradled in the bay and boasts many remarkable monuments, all of which bear witness to a rich history influenced by Gothic and Renaissance art.

Day 7: Pula - Rovinj

The Croatian city of Pula invites you on a journey back in time to visit ancient ruins that seem to have survived the centuries without ageing. An exceptional architectural heritage and a timeless beauty combine to make Pula a fascinating port of call. During the early afternoon, continue along the Istrian Peninsula to Rovinj, a charming old fishing port where narrow streets lead down to a marina which is home to both traditional fishing boats and modern yachts.

Day 8: Venice

L'Austral is due to arrive back into Venice early this morning and, after a final breakfast on board, it is time to disembark for your onward journey.
