You will embark the ship in Maizaru.

Day 1: Maizuru

Embark the Austral and meet with your fellow guests and crew. Settle in to your new cabin and explore your wonderful new surroundings and the facilities provided. Later that evening join the captain for dinner and drinks as you set sail on this magical adventure.

Day 2: At Sea

Day two will be spent at sea, you have the opportunity to relax and indulge yourself in all the wonderful onboard facilities.

Day 3: Mojiko

Day three will bring you to the port of Mojiko, Japan where you will arrive at midday. Take the afternoon to explore, enjoy a trip up the area's tallest building, Mojiko Retro Observation Room is located 103 meters above ground, it provides stunning views of the port and the city of Shimonoseki across the Kanmon Straits. You can take a trip to Kaikyo Plaza, a shopping facility where you will finds souvenirs and local produce. If you are feeling adventurous then why not try the local delicacy Yaki Curry. This baked curry and rice dish is available at an array of restaurants in the port area.

Day 4: Hiroshima

On day four you will arrive in Hiroshima, Japan. You have the whole to enjoy this historical location, why not take a trip to the wonderful Hiroshima castle. Located in the heart of Hiroshima city. Machiya Street will provide you with an atmosphere of times gone by with cafes and art galleries renovated from old folk houses lining. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Itsukushima Shrine and the A-Bomb Dome of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial are all key sights for you to enjoy and observe as you like.

Day 5: Uwajima

Today you will arrive early into Uwajima, Japan. Instantly you will be dazzled by Uwajima Castle and the beautiful traditional Japanese landscape garden. This area is well known for its bullfighting with large festivals being held in the month of October. Later that evening you will join your fellow passengers back on the ship for your evening entertainment, drinks and dinner.

Day 6: Kagoshima

Today you will arrive at Kagoshima, Japan. Here you can enjoy spectacular scenery, beautiful blue seas, vast mountains, rivers and hot springs. Here you will also find the famous active volcano of Sakurajima, it has been the site of repeated great eruptions throughout history.

Day 7: Nagasaki

On day seven you will arrive at Nagasaki, Japan. Within this region you can explore an array of architecture that has been influenced by many European and Chinese cultures which create an exotic appearance of the streets and surrounding areas. You will also find numerous national parks that offer breathtaking scenery along with 30 natural hot springs for your enjoyment.

Day 8: At sea

Today you will spend some time relaxing onboard as you travel to your next location.

Day 9: Shanghai

Today you will arrive into the ultra cosmopolitan city of Shanghai, China. Take a trip to the Bund, the cities exclusive shops, restaurants and boutiques all reside here. Be indulged in beauty at The Jade Buddha temple, it is one of Shanghai's few active Buddhist monasteries. Later that evening you will join your fellow passengers for dinner and evening entertainment back on the Austral.

Day 10: Shanghai

Today you will remain in Shanghai and have the day to explore the rest of this fascinating city. Today you could take a trip to Nanjing Road, with over 600 shops here you can spend plenty of time finding some great deals. For those wishing for a more leisurely day, Yuyuan Garden is the largest of Shanghai's ancient gardens and offers a tranquil backdrop. The Shanghai Museum will offer you an insight into the history and culture of this wonderful city.

Day 11: At sea

Today you travel towards your next port of call.

Day 12: At Sea

You will spend another day at sea before arriving at your next location.

Day 13: Xiamen

Today you will arrive into Xiamen, China, a city full of beautiful natural scenery with a wonderful mountainous backdrop. A walk around Bailuzhou Park offers you a mix of wonderful music and dancing first thing in the morning. Zhongshan Road offers a wonderful mix of stores that leads you through the beautiful historical part of the city.

Day 14: Hong Kong

Today you will arrive into Hong Kong, a large amount of which is made up by mountains and sprawling country parks. You will find a large British influence in the architecture and infrastructure that the city offers. Take stroll through the metropolis of skyscrapers and traditional buildings that inhabit Victoria harbour, stop at a street vendor for fish balls on a stick or sticky Tofu. Often called the most beautiful spot in Hong Kong, Nan Lian Garden, created to provide a serene and peaceful place to escape. Later that evening you will join your fellow guests for your final dinner onboard.

Day 15: Hong Kong

Today you will disembark after breakfast.


You will disembark the vessel in Hong Kong.
