Dahabiya Hadeel

The Dahabiya Hadeel combines the traditionally crafted sailboat of days gone by with all the modern comforts and luxuries expected in today's world. Dahabiyas were used in the days of the Egyptian Monarchy (1920's - 40's) when aristocrats and sophisticated travellers would hire the boats for weeks at a time so that they could sail from temple to temple at their own pace. Today, the Hadeel will take you slowly up and down the Nile powered by the wind in her sails and is a wonderful alternative to the large Nile cruise ships. On occasions, when there is little or no wind, the Hadeel's own tow-boat will be used to help you along. There are just 8 cabins on board, all with private en suite facilities. Due to licensing restrictions, alcohol cannot be sold on board but you can bring your own and the crew will happily store it and serve it to you without charging a corkage fee.

Hadeel Lounge

The Hadeel Lounge makes an ideal place to sit back and relax inside the ship, when you have had enough of the heat on the sundeck. The lounge, like all indoor public areas, is fully ai-conditioned.

Indoor Dining Room

For elegant dining as you sail the world's longest river, the Hadeel's hospitable crew will serve exquisite food from an ecclectic menu in this luxurious indoor dining setting. The onboard chef is highly skilled at preparing both international and Egyptian cuisine. All meals, plus afternoon tea, are included during your cruise and mineral water will be provided with main meals. The crew are unable to sell alcoholic beverages, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks on board, which the staff will serve without charge.

Two Level Sun Deck

The Hadeel boasts spacious and partially shaded sun decks on two levels, offering guests the opportunity to recline on comfortable deck chairs, take a dip in the jacuzzi, enjoy the Nile vistas, sunbathe, dine outdoors, watch the breathtaking sunsets or simply sit and star-gaze at night.
