In the afternoon High Tea is served at the bar. Relax on your balcony or relish a spa treatment before dinner. The expert guide will give a presentation about the “Geography of the Mekong and Tonle Sap Lake”. You can join the evening cinema session (offered every night) featuring selected classic movies.

Day 2: Kampong Chhnang - Kampong Cham

Today’s programme will start with an invigorating Tai Chi lesson on deck as the sun rises. In high water, the boat will cruise on the Tonle River towards Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia’s “water world. Take a local boat to the shore in Kampong Chhnang. With mini buses head to a rural village nearby for a walking tour. Your guides introduce you to the village specialities – Khmer style pottery and the making of palm sugar. Before returning to the boat explore the local floating villages and wetlands of the region. Afterwards a Monks’ blessing ceremony on board delivers spirits and wishes for our health and prosperity for all. Back on board, sail downstream passing the confluence of the Tonle and Mekong Rivers.

Day 3: Kampong Cham - Okhna Tey - Phnom Penh

After breakfast stay aboard to learn about the education of the young Cambodian generation. The children will join us on board, excited to show their skills in music and art. Later, you will leave the boat around 09:30 am to the enchanting pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Hanchey (7th century). After lunch enjoy the river vista's and High Tea later arriving at the Island of Koh Oknha Tey. This spot in the middle of the Mekong owns its fame for the manufacturing of high class silk products. By tuk tuk explore the island with its workshops and learn how silk is processed from its source, to a final top quality product made of original Cambodian silk. Later the boat arrives in Phnom Pier where you may enjoy a stroll along the river promenade.

Day 4: Phnom Penh

Wake up in Phnom Penh, once called the Paris of the East. It is worth being up early to see the approach to the river promenade. After breakfast, there is a city tour of the historical capital of Cambodia. By bus you will visit the Killing Fields at outside of the city and after, the centrally located prison “S21”. Lunch at a fine restaurant in town and then continue your exploration of Phnom Penh and its fascinating cultural heritage. The golden edifice of the Royal Palace with its Silver Pagoda and the exceptional Khmer crafts at the National Museum are the afternoon highlights. The day trip ends with a “cyclo” ride back to the ship through the bustling streets of downtown Phnom Penh. Return to the ship and enjoy a lecture about Cambodian modern history, held by a professor of the Royal University of Phnom Penh. In the evening, dinner is accompanied with an Apsara dance performance.

Day 5: Phnom Penh - Border Crossing - Tan Chau

After breakfast gather at the lounge for a great lecture about Cambodian modern history, held by a professor of the Royal University of Phnom Penh. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to relax on the Sun Deck, get a massage in the Spa, or take part in a Vietnamese cooking class. By early evening the cruise reaches the border with Vietnam. Be warned that border formalities can take some time, and the ship moors midstream for the night. Dinner is served on board.

Day 6: Tan Chau - My An Hung - Sa Dec

After breakfast enjoy a tour around Tan Chau by “xeloi”, a local vehicle which is still used as a taxi in this region. Slowly move around the streets to see all the workshops, houses and domiciles. Get to feel the laid-back vibes of this place. Call at the colourful local market near one of the ancient temples. Board a local boat and cruise past floating houses and finally reach a floating fish farm. Spend the afternoon at leisure. It is time for massages, for relaxation on the sun beds, for private balcony kick-backs - it’s the time to merge with the river. Set off for the My An Hung Village. In the village receive wonderful insights into the private household of a local family. Return to the ship for dinner as the ship moors in Sa Dec. You are allowed to visit their vegetable garden and access the seasonal vegetable fields via crossing a monkey bridge. You are also invited to their house for a Vietnamese tea tasting

Day 7: Binh Thanh Island - Cai Be - My Tho

In the morning, board a local sampan to tour Binh Thanh Island and its man-made canals. Here you can observe the villagers as they grow and process water hyacinths into natural fibre floor mats and baskets. Lunch will be served on the ship as you cruise to Cai Be. In the afternoon you can visit the town’s colourful floating market, where traders gather to ply their wares. Take a languid ride around the evergreen islands along the Mekong River, stopping to see how rice pasta, rice cookies and coconut candies are made. In the early evening, return to the ship for a tranquil cruise towards My Tho. Later there will be a wonderful farewell party on the ship.
