Sea Bird

8 Day Inner Islands Seychelles Cruise

Discover the mesmerizing islands of the Seychelles on board the Sea Bird, a modern yacht combining comfort with the charm and character of a traditional sail boat. The vessel has a dining room, bar, salon and expansive sun deck on which to relax or socialize. Accommodation is provided in double or triple cabins each with air conditioning and en suite showers. Spend your days snorkeling, diving and exploring beautiful, often uninhabited islands and evenings dining on authentic Creole cuisine. The Sea Star and Sea Bird vessels are a fleet and therefore interchangeable, so you may be allocated either ship on your cruise.

Embark the ship at 10:30hrs at the Inter-Island Quay, Port Victoria. **Itineraries are subject to change.

Day 1: Mahé

Set sail from Mahé at midday arriving at Round Island, just off the Isle of Praslin. Enjoy a welcome barbeque dinner onboard the ship.

Day 2: Praslin

Arrive at Praslin, the second largest island in the Seychelles and enjoy an excursion to the World Heritage Site, the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve. The ancient forest is home to the infamous double coconut, the coco de mer, as well as the Black Parrot unique to Praslin. The afternoon allows for more exploration of the island and opportunities to dive, snorkel or simply relax on the beach before returning to the ship.

Day 3: La Digue

Sail to the sleepy island of La Digue, where ox-cart and bicycles are the most common form of transportation throughout the island. The island is home to the endemic Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher and the giant granite boulder formations at Anse Source d’Argent, perhaps one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Explore the island by bicycle and visit a number of island attractions including the vanilla plantation, a copra mill and shipyard.

Day 4: Grande Soeur and Petit Soeur

In the morning sail to Grande Soeur and Petit Soeur , two unique and completely uninhabited tropical islands, great for snorkeling and diving. In the afternoon, visit Coco Island, one of the Seychelles tiny granite jewels and a fantastic spot for snorkeling within a kaleidoscope of tropical fish.

Day 5: Booby Island

Arrive at Booby Island in the morning for diving and a number of other water sports. After lunch the ship sails to Aride Island, home to a globally important nature reserve with more native bird species than any other island, including five endemics. You will also be able to enjoy a nature trail which leads to a spectacular cliff-top view.

Day 6: Curieuse Island

In the morning sail to the sparsely populated Curieuse Island. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the island’s vast mangrove forests and its giant tortoise farm, as well as the historic ruins of this former leper colony. After a barbeque lunch on the island, enjoy an array of water sports or simply relax and enjoy the island’s beautiful beach and turquoise waters.

Day 7: Ste Anne Marine Park

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely sail back towards Mahé stopping off at Ile Seche for more snorkeling or diving, followed by a farewell barbeque. The vessel then sails to Port Victoria for overnight stay.

Day 8: Mahe'

Following breakfast, disembark at Inter-Island Quay at 08.30hrs.

Disembark the ship at 08:30hrs at Inter-Island Quay, Port Victoria.
