Or alternatively for passengers already in Havana join an optional excursion in Havana including the Plaza de la Revolucion, followed by a visit to Finca Vigia, beloved home of Ernest Hemingway where he lived for 21 years. Day 2: Havana

Wake up in Havana where you may join an optional walking tour of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stop Fusterlandia, studio of artist Jose Rodriguez Fuster. In the evening enjoy a Cuban night at a local restaurant.

Day 3: At Sea

The Cruise Director and local guide will conduct informative programs and lectures about Cuba and its people.

You will also visit Nueva Gerona before returning to ship for a late lunch.

Day 5: Cayo Largo

Arrive at Cayo Largo, formed by limestone over millions of years. Here you may enjoy an optional afternoon excursion, visit a local clinic to discuss the medical system in Cuba and engage with local doctors and nurses. Continue onto a Sea Turtle Breeding Centre and Endangered Species Protection program. There will be time for some snorkeling and swimming to explore the coral reef in open sea. Overnight at sea to Casilda.

Day 6: Casilda

Arrive early morning in the port of Casilda. Here you may join a full day optional excursion to Trinidad. The Spanish colonial settlement once built on huge sugar fortunes is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There will be opportunities to visit the studios of local artists, the Museum Romantico or the Architecture Museum. Visit the studio of Lazaro, a very unique woodcarver, followed by a lunch at local restaurant. Mid afternoon the ship sets sail for Cienfuegos, arriving by nightfall.

Day 7: Cienfuegos
